Infancia Tecnicolor

“Infancia Tecnicolor” is a jewelry collection made up of four playful pieces, created with mixed-media techniques. They invite the wearer to dream for a while, to awaken their curiosity and explore the surreal narratives associated with the time they were young.

A visual playground is created through a bricolage of techniques that produce optical illusions when light hits the vibrant colors and cut pieces embedded in the materials. The main goal is to challenge the line that separates fiction and reality, that is, childhood fantasies against the stern world that surrounds us.

The pieces were crafted through manual techniques, such as collage, crochet and jewelry making techniques. Every piece aims to reconnect the wearer with the naivety and joyfulness of our childhood through specific actions such as blowing bubbles, exploring new worlds, pretending to be an adult while using a crayon as a cigarette, and playing with a yo-yo.

Materials: candle wax, wool, PVC electric wire, optical lens, bronze, paper. Processes: crochet, collage, winding, forging and cutout bronze coated with gold. Photography: David Mesa.
Styling & Makeup: Valentina Frías.
Models: Valentina Zamora and Nicolás Durán.
